The union brought together Schrager's singular gift for atmosphere, design, and cultural cachet with Marriott's global operational scale and development muscle. The result was a collection of hotels defined by their refusal to be generic: each EDITION property is conceived as a distinct cultural artifact for its city, offering the intimacy and theatricality of an independent hotel while delivering the seamless service standards of a luxury chain. With roughly fifteen EDITION hotels open worldwide — in London, New York, Barcelona, Tokyo, and beyond — the brand carries a reputation among discerning travelers that few hospitality flags can match. EDITION Residences Miami Edgewater marks the brand's first standalone collection of fully private residences, extending that ethos entirely into the realm of permanent urban living.

The developer behind this landmark project is Two Roads Development, a South Florida firm founded circa 2012 that has distinguished itself as one of the region's most sophisticated luxury development houses. Led by managing partner Taylor Collins and president Brad Meltzer, Two Roads has built a portfolio that consistently pairs marquee hospitality brands with best-in-class residential design: their projects include Four Seasons Private Residences at the Ocean Club in the Bahamas, Four Seasons Private Residences Las Vegas, Rivage Bal Harbour on the oceanfront north of Miami Beach, and Pendry Residences in downtown Tampa. The firm's approach — selecting iconic brand partners, commissioning world-class architects and interior designers, and concentrating on a relatively small portfolio of high-conviction projects — has earned it a reputation for delivering finished product that matches the ambition of its marketing. EDITION Residences Edgewater represents the firm's most prominent Miami commission to date, and arguably its most closely watched.

Rising 55 stories and 649 feet above Biscayne Bay at 2121 North Bayshore Drive, the tower is designed by Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the founding principal of Arquitectonica — the Miami-born firm that has shaped the visual identity of the city's skyline for four decades and completed landmark projects across six continents. Fort-Brescia's design for EDITION Residences is a study in luminous restraint: an all-glass, moon-like exterior that reflects the ever-changing light of Biscayne Bay while maintaining a crisp, contemporary profile against the Edgewater skyline. The building commands more than 800 linear feet of continuous bay frontage — an extraordinary stretch of waterfront access that few sites in Miami can claim — ensuring that the panoramic views of the bay, the Miami Beach barrier islands, and the Atlantic beyond are present from virtually every residence in the tower. The 185 residences within the tower range from one-bedroom-plus-den through four-bedroom configurations, spanning approximately 1,922 to 3,864 square feet, with three exceptional tri-level penthouses crowning the building, each featuring private rooftop pools and gardens. Interior design is the work of Studio Munge, the acclaimed Toronto-based atelier led by Alessandro Munge, whose portfolio of hospitality and residential projects is defined by a talent for creating environments that are simultaneously glamorous and genuinely livable.
